Hi, I'm Arabella a 3rd year Geography student at Cardiff University. I feel passionately about free period products within universities. I think the campaign is important to raise awareness for period stigma and help educate people on the problems women face! As a geography student I spend a lot of time in lectures and seminars and having to walk to the shops to buy period products because I don't have the right change or any change for the machines means I miss out on a good chunk of my lecture if i'm not prepared. I hear a lot of people saying 'why don't you ask your friends' but in a silent lecture theatre that is not an option. That's why for all these reasons and so many more

Hello,
We are Rho and Katie, the founders of Bloody Brilliant Campaign. Bloody Brilliant Campaign started with a £1.80 Primark t-shirt, a screen print and a desire for change. We wanted to make campaigning accessible for everyone and create change further than we can physically access ourselves. We are third year University of Greenwich graphic & digital design students and we started the project as a part of a brief for the D&AD new blood awards. Since the beginning of the project our passion for this topic has grown and our support has grown. We strongly believe your period should not get in the way of your education. And thats why we started Bloody Brilliant. |

Hello, I'm Emily and I am a Bloody Brilliant Ambassador
for St. Mary's University. As a second year drama student, I'm constantly on the move. Being on my period can reallyaffect my day-to-day uni life. There are times when I have to ask others for a tampon or pad because I've run out and I find it really frustrating. We have machines in the toilets, but I usually don't have change or cash on me when I'm at uni. Period products shouldn't be considered a luxury item and being on my period shouldn't get in the way of my education. I feel like the university should consider women needs more. That's why I became Bloody Brilliant. |
